Southern Tablelands Arts Artist-in-Residence (STA AiR) programme provided 5 distinct residency opportunities across the Southern Highlands & Tablelands of regional NSW.

With over 120 applicants from around Australia, I was thrilled and very grateful to have been chosen for the Goulburn Regional Gallery residency

Exploring notions on the importance of objects, particularly cups, in our lives with a view to developing new work surrounding themes of memory and connection.  I have long thought that cups, humble, commonplace vessels are fundamental to our every day, they are the vessels of routine and ritual. With their use they bring nourishment, comfort, friendship and so much more.  During the residency I endeavoured to distil my experience with various media, drawing, stitching, watercolour, taking impressions and making marquettes in porcelain

Completed in November 2021, Goulburn Regional Gallery also provided me the opportunity to hold two workshops for their children's afternoon art club.  I was accommodated by Ceramic artist Kate McKay at Lynwood Cottage, Collector.  Kate generously shared her studio, a converted shearing shed, for the duration of my stay

Delighted to experience all that the beautiful southern tablelands had to offer, I enjoyed playing and exploring, and was creatively immersed, finding abundant inspiration for a future show of new work
